Diego battled bravely for nearly a week at St. Mary’s Children’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit before answering God’s call and becoming one of his angels. While at the hospital, the seed was planted to do what we can to make something positive from this  devastating nightmare. With the assistance of Life Alliance organ recovery agency, we spoke to the mother a young girl who received a donor gift about five years ago. After hearing the gift not only saved the young girl, but an entire family, we made the decision to start Diego’s 1K4L non-profit to raise awareness and funds for organ donation.  it solidified our organ donation decision. Our organization is fiercely dedicated to this cause and creating a legacy for our beloved son, who will live on as a superhero, forever. Sign up to donate and/or participate.
